This goal of this course is to have students learn and practice basic medical skills. This class will include explanations of medical equipment, placement of an IFAK, the basics of self and buddy aid, casualty movement, stowing of weapon system during treatment, and is based off the current TCCC recommendations. While this is not a “card course” you will have a functional understanding of the components of TCCC. This is a 1 day course, perfect for those who are non-medically certified and those who need to polish up on medical integration.
This course will provide the motivation and skillsets needed to render aid to an injured individual, whether it be in a hostile or a non-hostile environment. Students will learn how to manage life threatening injuries, and be able to sustain that individual until a higher echelon of care is introduced. The skills ascertained from this training will allow the most amount of care an individual can give without requiring a certification, degree, or registration.
