Workplace Security & Active Shooter Course
This course provides guidance to individuals and organizations on how to improve the security in your workplace. Employees are often the target of these threats as well as the organization’s first line of defense against them. Threats endanger the confidentiality, integrity, and security of your workplace, as well as your virtual workplace and computer systems. This course presents information on how employees and employers can contribute to your organization’s security. Included in this 2-day training we will also cover Handgun Fundamentals as well as Concealed Carry options and training.
***Please note that the actions described throughout this training are options to consider. Whenever possible and applicable, employees should comply with established company policies and procedures. However, no matter what type of security measures an organization puts in place, it is important for all employees to be vigilant about anything unusual at the workplace that could threaten security.
Day 1: Classroom Phase:
We live in a world of ever-increasing risk. No workplace whether a construction site, office building, factory floor, or retail store is immune. Risks threaten worker safety, employee morale, and a company’s economic livelihood. There are three components of risk to consider; Threat, Vulnerability, and Consequence.
This course presents common threats and describes measures employers and employees can take in each area to promote a secure workplace:

Day 1: Handgun Fundamentals Phase:
The goal of this phase is to have students learn and demonstrate the fundamentals of handgun, storage, safety, marksmanship and manipulation techniques. This is a practical exercise conducted at a live-fire range. The student will demonstrate movement, shooting platforms, malfunctions, marksmanship.
Day 2: Classroom Phase:
Most active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. Because most incidents are over within minutes, we must be prepared to deal with the situation until law enforcement personnel arrive. During the past several years, there have been many active shooter incidents;
Preparedness and awareness are the keys to helping protect our employees, our customers, and ourselves.

Day 2: Concealed Carry Handgun Phase:
The goal is to have students learn, demonstrate and reinforce the fundamentals of handgun marksmanship and manipulation techniques from concealment. These will be practical exercises conducted on the live-fire range. The student will demonstrate movement, shooting platforms, malfunctions, marksmanship, multiple target transitions, and shooting standards to the satisfaction of the instructor all while concealed.
